球果尺蛾屬（學名：Eupithecia）是尺蛾科之下的一個大分類，含有數百種。本屬物種遍布全世界，就單單是英倫三島就已經可找到45個物種，而每天均會有新物種的新聞。

本屬物種的幼蟲基本上都以植物的花和種子為食，而不是其葉片。有很多物種都專只吃一種植物。在夏威夷，部份本物種的幼蟲（例如：E. orichloris, E. staurophragma, E. scoriodes）是一種肉食性動物，會假裝是一條樹枝，透過其背上敏感的細毛作感應，迅速把爬往其身上的昆蟲捕獲^[1]。
