后发座FK 是一颗周期2.4天，视星等在8.14至8.33等之间变化的变星；它是后发座FK型变星的原型。后发座FK 的变异可能是恒星表面巨大的低温星斑随着恒星转动引起的。这颗恒星被认为是联星在最近合并的结果，导致旋转和磁性活动率都高[4]。
