本系列为英国科幻电视剧《神秘博士》（英语：Doctor Who）2005年重启以来的第13个常规系列，也是整个剧集的第39季，是克里斯·奇布诺尔作为节目主理人的第3个常规系列。克里斯·奇布诺尔和马特·史蒂文斯（Matt Strevens）担当执行制片人。本系列于2019年11月宣布制作，共8集，2020年11月开机拍摄，预定于2021年开播。
本系列在剧情上承接新年特辑《戴立克起义》，朱迪·惠特克继续饰演第十三任博士，一位通过塔迪斯穿越时空的外星人，是她主演博士的第3个常规系列。
共有6集的的常规系列由杰米·马格努斯·斯通和阿祖尔·萨利姆（Azhur Saleem）执导。本系列于2021年10月31日开播，2021年12月5日完结。台湾由MyVideo于2021年11月8日起进行跟播，每周一更新[1]。

选角[编辑]
系列13是朱迪·惠特克饰演第十三任博士的第3个常规系列[5][6][7]。布拉德利·沃尔什和托辛·科尔不再回归出演格雷姆·奥布莱恩和瑞恩·辛克莱，他们的角色最后出场于2021年的新年特辑《戴立克起义》[8]。曼迪·吉尔回归系列13，继续出演娅斯敏[9]。

编剧与开发[编辑]
2019年11月，在系列12开播之前，节目主理人克里斯·奇布诺尔宣布开发系列13，这是是克里斯·奇布诺尔作为节目主理人的第3个常规系列[5]。系列12第8集《闹鬼的迪奥达蒂别墅》的编剧玛克辛·奥尔德顿（Maxine Alderton）成为系列13的“核心编剧”[10]。曾执笔《它会带你走》和《孤星55号》的艾德·希姆（Ed Hime）成为系列13的编剧之一[11]。2020年4月，克里斯·奇布诺尔透露在2019冠状病毒病疫情期间，剧本正在继续创作[12]。
2017年6月，英国广播公司与中国上海广播电视台达成协议，后者享有中国市场版权优先购买权，包括2005年重启以来直到系列15的剧集[13][14][15]。2019年10月，英国广播公司与HBO Max达成进一步协议，后者取得系列13和系列14的播放权[16]。
拍摄[编辑]
制作人崔西·辛普森（Tracie Simpson）表示系列13于2020年6月起开始前期制作，原计划于2020年9月开机拍摄[17]。此后，主体拍摄推迟至2020年11月开机，计划拍摄10个月[7][18]。受2019冠状病毒病疫情影响，本系列总集数减少至8集[7]。
