Among the banks that were affected were 加拿大皇家銀行 and 多倫多道明銀行 in Canada[1][2], Capitec Bank（英语：Capitec Bank） and other South African banks[3], several Israeli banks[4], and banks in the Philippines such as RCBC（英语：Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation）, Metrobank（英语：Metrobank (Philippines)）, 菲律賓土地銀行, BDO（英语：Banco de Oro）, UnionBank（英语：Unionbank (Philippines)）, BPI（英语：Bank of the Philippine Islands）, and PNB（英语：Philippine National Bank）.[5][6] E-wallets such as Maya（英语：Maya (mobile payments)）, and GCash（英语：GCash） were reported also experiencing problems in the Philippines.[7] The website and mobile banking application of DenizBank（英语：DenizBank） in Turkey cannot be accessed.[8] Visa公司 was affected.[9] Numerous Singaporean companies, including 新加坡交易所 and 星展銀行, reported various levels of service difficulties throughout 19 July.[10][11]

In India, the 印度储备银行 said only 10 banks and NBFCs（英语：NBFC and MFI in India） were affected by the outage[12][13], for few banks use CrowdStrike tools and many banks' critical systems do not run on the cloud. NSE（英语：NSE Indices）, 孟買敏感指數[13], and India's largest bank 印度国家银行 said they were unaffected.[14]

In Brazil, Bradesco（英语：Banco Bradesco） Bank confirmed it was affected, and during the morning customers were able to login, and at 12:00 UTC the bank disabled the login button.[15]


New Zealand banks 奧克蘭儲蓄銀行 and Kiwibank（英语：Kiwibank）, the Australian bank 西太平洋銀行, and the Australian and New Zealand owned bank 澳盛銀行 had problems.[16]


微软 and CrowdStrike stocks fell as a result of the outage. CrowdStrike's stock fell nearly 12 percent in premarket trading early Friday.[17][18]

The 伦敦证券交易所, while operating normally, was unable to push news updates to its website.[19] English gambling company 立博 and English supermarket chain Morrisons also reported problems.[19] Apps of Australian banks 澳洲國民銀行, 西太平洋銀行, 澳盛銀行, 澳洲聯邦銀行, Bendigo Bank（英语：Bendigo Bank） and Suncorp（英语：Suncorp） were affected.[20] Polish banks, including Santander Bank Polska（英语：Santander Bank Polska）, ING Bank Śląski（英语：ING Bank Śląski） and mBank（英语：mBank）, encountered issues related to the outage. Santander BP's helpline, video, and chat services were affected. PKO Bank Polski（英语：PKO Bank Polski） clarified that its iPKO and IKO services were stable, but other banks faced difficulties.[21] In Finland, OP Financial Group（英语：OP Financial Group） reported minor disruptions on investment partner and stock savings accounts.[22] Sense Bank（英语：Sense Bank） in Ukraine experienced outages due to the update.[23]

Paraguayan banks Ueno and Banco Continental were affected; their customers were unable to log in.[24]

Ground transportation

Traffic disruptions were reported at the US-Canada border,[25][26][2] including long delays at the 大使桥 and 底特律-溫莎隧道 in 温莎 (安大略省).[27] The 加拿大边境服务局 blamed a partial outage of its telephone reporting system which was later resolved.[28] There were long delays and police advised motorists to avoid the area.[29] The 華盛頓都會區交通局 suffered minor service delays in the early morning in America; their website/live tracking was unavailable until around 9:30 AM on 19 July.[30] The 马萨诸塞湾交通局 in Boston lost vehicle tracking and arrival notices for passengers.[31]


Malaysia's railway operator 马来亚铁道 confirmed that its KITS ticketing system was experiencing technical issues.[32] Transport for Ireland（英语：Transport for Ireland） said its apps were down due to the outage.[33] Ireland's Road Safety Authority（英语：Road Safety Authority） said it was experiencing "significant disruption" to its National Car Test（英语：National Car Test） (NCT) centres.[34] In 新加坡, the entrance and exit gantries of over 185 car parks managed by the 建屋發展局 were affected.[35]


Fuel stations have also been affected in Australia, with people stuck at fuel pumps unable to pay for petrol because payment systems were not working.[36] Auckland Transport's AT HOP卡 in New Zealand had problems.[16] Australian freight train operator Aurizon（英语：Aurizon） was affected.[20] Regional trains in 新南威爾士州, Australia on the Hunter Line（英语：Hunter Line） and the Southern Highlands Line（英语：Southern Highlands Line） were cancelled or delayed with the Regional Bus and Train network（英语：List of V/Line railway stations） in 維多利亞州 operated by V/Line（英语：V/Line） having all lines suspended.[20][37]


UK rail companies were also affected.[38] 出租車 riders in London could not pay with credit or debit cards and thus required cash.[19][39] In Sweden[40] and Belgium,[41] tickets for public transport could not be sold, and Keolis Nederland（英语：Keolis Nederland） experienced issues.[42][43]


Healthcare

Many hospitals across North America paused non-urgent surgeries and visits.[44] While remaining open, hospitals have limited, if any, access to patient records.[45] In the United States, 紀念斯隆-凱特琳癌症中心 postponed all procedures that required 麻醉, the Mass General Brigham（英语：Mass General Brigham） hospital system cancelled all non-emergency procedures and medical visits,[46][47] and the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center（英语：Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center） was also affected.[48] 大學醫療網絡 experienced technical issues in Canada, saying hospitals' clinical activity would continue but warning that appointments may be delayed.[25] A number of other Canadian hospitals faced difficulties, with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services（英语：Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services） activating contingency plans as patient record systems were affected.[29]


Britain's National Health Service (NHS)（英语：NHS England） said that the issues are "causing disruption in the majority of [English] GP practices",[3] with some of its services, such as 一般科醫師 surgeries, which rely on a software product called EMIS Web（英语：EMIS Health）, unable to view and manage medical records, issue and manage prescriptions, or make appointments.[19] Manx Radio（英语：Manx Radio） reported that GP surgeries were impacted in the 曼島.[49] The 倫敦救護服務 experienced an unprecedented surge[50] in 999 (求救電話) and 111（英语：NHS 111） calls following the outage, responding to 4,500 emergency calls by 17:00 (英国夏令时).[51]


Two-thirds of Ireland's General Practices (GPs) were affected. At hospitals radiation therapy, bookings for operating theatres, and staff rosters are also affected.[39]


联邦公共卫生公共服务部 in Belgium have confirmed that there were two hospitals impacted and have activated their emergency IT plans. They have also stated there is no impact to care, only to new patient admissions.[52] The National Crisis Center were evaluating the impact in Belgium and stated there had no reports of significant problems in the security sectors and their critical infrastructure (e.g. power plants or transport sector). They also were informed of the issue impacting two hospitals in Belgium.[52] Two hospitals in 吕贝克 and 基尔, Germany, have cancelled non-emergency operations.[19] The Spanish regional governments of 阿拉贡, 巴斯克自治區, 卡斯蒂利亚-拉曼恰, 加泰罗尼亚 and 加利西亚 (西班牙) reported issues with their healthcare services.[53] The Catholic Health（英语：Catholic Health） system experienced outages that caused delays in services.[48]


Systems in Wesley Hospital（英语：Wesley Hospital (Brisbane)） and St Andrews Hospital（英语：St Andrews War Memorial Hospital Administration Building） in 布里斯班, Australia were affected.[36]


The Central Health Information System of Croatia​（克罗地亚语） in Croatia was affected, although it was clarified that it was due to a concurent issue tied with moving their servers to a new location.[54]


Hospital Fernando Fonseca in Portugal registered problems.[55]


In Israel, 以色列红大卫盾会 and its emergency service hotline was affected. Hospitals including Sheba Medical Center（英语：Sheba Medical Center）, Rambam Hospital（英语：Rambam Hospital） and Laniado Hospital（英语：Laniado Hospital） were experiencing issues, leading to an increase in waiting times and delays in surgeries.[4]


The pharmaceutical company Krka（英语：Krka (company)） in Slovenia is said to have suffered a full outage of production and sent its workforce home.[56]


Media and communications

Many American TV stations were unable to broadcast because of the global outage. KSHB-TV（英语：KSHB-TV）, one of the affected stations, had to resort to airing national news via Scripps News（英语：Scripps News）.[57] ESPN was unable to air the morning editions of SportsCenter（英语：SportsCenter） on the morning of the outage in America, instead airing ESPN广播's Unsportsmanlike, simulcasting with ESPN2.[58] ESPN and ESPN2 later simulcasted Get Up!（英语：Get Up (TV program)） and First Take（英语：First Take (talk show)） in place of SportsCenter, albeit without on-air graphics（英语：Lower third） or b-roll（英语：b-roll）.[59][60] 梅赛德斯AMG车队 also suffered issues on the Friday of the Hungarian Grand Prix（英语：2024 Hungarian Grand Prix）, with a Mercedes spokesperson confirming that the team had to manually address the problem on every computer it used. The issue also affected their engine customers, 麥拉倫車隊, Aston Martin（英语：Aston Martin in Formula One） and 威廉姆斯车队.[61]


Major IT firms in India such as 塔塔咨询服务, 印孚瑟斯, 甲骨文公司, 诺基亚 and others also faced the outage, resulting in thousands of issues raised by employees and devices being stuck in bootloop（英语：bootloop） and unable to recover.[62] The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, CERT-In,（英语：Indian Computer Emergency Response Team） issued a severity rating of 'critical' for the incident.[13]


When some companies let their employees go home early as a result of the incident,[63] the topic "Thank you Microsoft for an early vacation" momentarily became 新浪微博's most popular term.[64] 日本環球影城 announced that they would not be selling tickets via ticket booths over the weekend due to the outage; however, tickets would still be sold online or via designated ticket sales sites.[57]


沃达丰 experienced outages.[23] The issue affected the office laptops of DPG Media（英语：DPG Media） Belgium – which impacts JOE and QMusic Radio, banks, post services, government agencies.[52] Telephone communication with the urban services in 安特卫普 were also affected.[65] The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium stated that the impact in Belgium is limited.[52] 天空新闻台 was unable to broadcast live in the UK,[66] as was the 英国广播公司's CBBC, a free-to-air children's television channel.[19] Irish national broadcaster 愛爾蘭廣播電視 said its newsroom（英语：RTÉ News） was hit by "intermittent internet outages" with minimal impact to output.[67][68] The 加拿大廣播公司 was also impacted.[28]


Several French TV channels affected by the issues include 法國電視一台, TFX（英语：TFX (TV channel)）, LCI（英语：La Chaîne Info） and Canal+ Group（英语：Canal+ Group） networks.[69] Phone and internet service provider 布依格电信 has also announced the unavailability of its customer service as a result of the outage.[70] The operations of the 2024年夏季奥林匹克运动会, scheduled to start the following week in 巴黎, France, were also affected. The outage occurred a day after the 奥运村 opened and organisers were processing the arrivals of athletes and delegates. The organising committee said that a contingency plan was activated and that only the delivery of uniforms and accreditations were affected.[71] The incident slowed down the operations, with the accreditation desk at the press centre closed and security checks done manually using a list of names.[19][72]


IT workers,[73] telecommunications, radio and TV broadcasts were affected in the Philippines.[74] Numerous Singaporean companies, including 新報業媒體, 新加坡电信, and M1（英语：M1 (Singaporean company)）, reported various levels of service difficulties throughout the day on 19 July.[10][11]


Australian media firms affected by the issues include the 澳大利亚广播公司, SBS（英语：SBS (Australian TV channel)）, 七號電視網 and 九號電視網.[75] Ticketing at 港區體育館 for Friday night's 澳大利亞澳式足球聯盟 match between the 阿辛頓澳式足球會 and the 阿德萊德澳式足球會 was affected.[37]


以色列郵政 was affected[4] and 新郵政 experienced outages.[23] In the U.S., 联合包裹服务 and 聯邦快遞 were affected.[76]


赛车游戏 service iRacing（英语：iRacing） was also affected by the outage in America.[77] Various Korean online games, like 黑色沙漠, 仙境传说, and Ragnarok Origin shut down.[78]


亚马逊云计算服务, EBay, Google雲端, Instagram, and PlentyOfFish were affected.[9][48]


Government

In the United States, there were outages in 911 (求救電話) service or disruptions in 911 call centres' operation in some parts of Alaska,[79] Arizona,[80] Florida,[81] Iowa,[82] Indiana,[83] Kansas,[84] Michigan,[85] Minnesota,[86] New York,[87] Ohio,[88] Oregon,[89] Pennsylvania,[90] and Virginia.[82] 911 was down for all of New Hampshire.[91][92] In addition, Alaska is experiencing issues with non-emergency call centres.[92] ADT（英语：ADT Inc.） was also affected.[9]


Government websites in the Philippines, such as the website of the 菲律賓眾議院, were down due to the outage.[93]


In Canada, the 多伦多 was affected,[27] and Canada Child Benefit（英语：Canada Child Benefit） payments were delayed.[26][94] 新西兰议会 had problems.[95] 陽光海岸區政府 was one of several councils affected in Australia.[20] The National Security Authority spokesman confirmed several institutions in Slovakia were affected.[96]


In the US, the 美國國土安全部, 美国国家航空航天局, 聯邦貿易委員會, National Nuclear Security Administration（英语：National Nuclear Security Administration）, 美国司法部, and 美國教育部 were affected, and the 美国财政部, and 美国国务院 reported minor disruptions. The 美國退伍軍人事務部, and 美國能源部 experienced disruptions, but it is not currently known if they are related to the incedent.[97] DMV（英语：Department of motor vehicles） agencies for the states of Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, and the District of Columbia,[98] were affected.[99]

Supermarkets in the Philippines were affected due to crashed 銷售時點情報系統s.[74] German supermarket chain 特好超市 closed some of its stores.[100] Customers have also experienced payment issues at Foodstuffs（英语：Foodstuffs (company)） and Woolworths（英语：Woolworths (New Zealand supermarket chain)） supermarkets in New Zealand.[16] British grocery chain Waitrose could only accept cash from customers.[101] Australian retailers and fast food chains are also hit by the outage, causing self-checkout and online order systems out of service.[102] Supermarkets affected include Woolworths超級市場 and 客澳市, with most stores being forced to cease trading for the day.[20]


McDonald's Japan（英语：McDonald's Japan） temporarily closed a third of its locations due to issues with cash registers.[99] The international chain 星巴克's mobile application was disabled.[103]


In the United States, system issues caused by the incident forced sporting goods retailer 迪克体育用品 to close some of its stores and caused temporary outages to its website.[104][105]


便利商店 chain 7-Eleven experienced issues at its Speedway（英语：Speedway (store)） branded locations still running on Speedway's legacy software utilizing BlueCube（英语：Blue Yonder） and Radiant Site Manager（英语：Radiant Systems） dating from the days Speedway was owned by Marathon Petroleum Corporation（英语：Marathon Petroleum Corporation）, with some stores unable to accept credit or debit transactions while others were closed outright.[106] 7-Eleven, which was in the process of converting Speedway locations to its properitarity RIS software,[107] did not experience issues at Speedway locations that already switched to RIS, nor did it experience issues at standard 7-Eleven or Stripes Convenience Stores（英语：Stripes Convenience Stores） locations.


Norwegian pharmacy chains Apotek1（英语：Apotek1） had to shut down their stores for some time.[108]
