Bitfinex是一个加密货币交易平台，由iFinex Inc拥有及营运。注册地区为英属维尔京群岛。[1][2]
在2015年，交易所黑客攻击事件令投资者失去约400,000美元。在2016年，约73万美元从其交易所的客户帐户被盗去。[3] 2018年10月，Bitfinex 与银行业务的关系再次遇上危机。其管理团队指出，"Bitfinex于10月7日并没有出现资不抵债的情况。"[4]研究显示，Bitfinex对比特币的价格操纵占2017年末比特币价格上涨的一半左右。[5] 同年，Bitfinex宣布成为EOS超级节点候选团队。[6]

Bitfinex于2012年12月成立，透过点对点融资市场，Bitfinex提供杠杆保证金交易，让用户可以安全地进行高达3.3倍的杠杆交易。Bitfinex 最初以比特币P2P保证金借贷平台为核心服务，后来增加了加密货币服务。[7] 在2015年5月黑客入侵期间，1500个比特币被盗。[8] 于2016年，Bitfinex成为Bitfinex黑客的主题。价值7200万美元的比特币从该公司的客户账户中被盗。 [9]接着，比特币的交易价格暴跌百分之20。[10]在得知事件后，Bitfinex 停止所有比特币提款和交易。[2]
2017年4月，Bitfinex宣布在Wells Fargo切断其电汇服务后，美元提款服务被拖延处理。同年6月25日，Bitfinex宣布将于同年7月1日起支持EOS以USD，BTC和ETH作配对的交易。[11]
2018年2月13日，Bitfinex发布EOSfinex-建立在EOS.IO（页面存档备份，存于互联网档案馆）平台上的交易所。[12] 3月，Bitfinex确认将其业务搬迁至瑞士。5月，Bitfinex通过电子邮件询问其用户有关税收的详细信息以便在适当时候递交给政府部门。[13] 同年6月22日，菲尔波特（Phil Potter）Bitfinex的首席战略官确认离职。[14]
在2019年2月12日，Bifinex对外公布已经推出其更新版本的电话应用程序，Iphone以及Android的用户都能于应用商店下载享用。[15] 同月，Bifinex亦宣布支持BitTorrent以BTC及USD作配对的交易。
Tether[编辑]
Tether（泰达币）于2014年发行，以区块链为基础的平台，透过数字方式促进法定货币的使用。[16]
Tether突破传统金融体系的运作，透过区块链获取法定货币，且不像其他加密货币有价格剧烈波动和复杂性的问题。
作为第一个法币数字化应用的区块链平台（如同稳定的会计单位），Tether已广泛透过区块链进行法币交易。[17][18][19]
Bitfinex 和 USDT 的关系[编辑]
Bitfinex 和 USDT 都是有其母公司 iFinex Inc 管理运营的，所以普遍认为 Bitfinex 和 USDT 是兄弟公司，或者准确地说 Bitfinex 和 USDT 几乎是同一批人掌握的公司。[20]
