NGC 6790是一个年轻、致密行星状星云[2]，具有高表面亮度[4]，位于天鹰座。根据哈伯太空望远镜的成像显示，星云中心恒星周围有细长的壳层。
物理性质[编辑]
科学家对这个星云的距离知之甚少，直径估计约为19光年，大约有6000年的历史。
中性氢成分的膨胀速度介于15−19km/s范围内。[2]中心恒星为一颗白矮星，温度约73,500K，视星等为11.1等，质量为0.6 M☉，由质量与太阳大致相同的恒星演化而来[4]。
