詹姆斯·莱罗伊·巴顿里（英语：James Leroy Bottomley，1900年4月23日—1959年12月11日），为美国职棒大联盟的一垒手与总教练。生涯曾效力过红雀、红人与布朗(今金莺)等队。

职业生涯[编辑]

圣路易红雀[编辑]

1922年8月18日，巴顿里接替Jack Fournier的位置，成功登上大联盟。1923年，巴顿里正式成为红雀队的先发一垒手。该年他的打击率为3成71，排名国联第二。另外94分打点为国联第十高。^[1]

1924年9月16日，巴顿里在面对道奇队的比赛中写下个人单场12分打点的大联盟纪录。而前纪录保持人Wilbert Robinson正好就是当时道奇队的总教练。^[2]^[3]该年他的打击率为3成16，并敲出14轰与111分打点。^[2]另外，他在8月29日成为大联盟最后一位有助杀记录的左撇子二垒手。^[4]

1925年，巴顿里的打击率为3成67，再度排在国联第二。不过他敲出国联最多的227支安打，以及国联第三高的128分打点。^[5]隔年他的打击率为2成98，并敲出国联次高的19轰与国联最高的120分打点。^[6]他在1926年世界大赛的打击率高达3成45，最终红雀击败洋基夺冠。^[2]

1927年，巴顿里打回124分打点名列国联第四。^[7]1928年，他以3成25的打击率，外带31轰与136分打点的成绩拿下国联全垒打王与打点王，还拿下国联MVP。^[8]他也成为大联盟史上第二位进入20-20-20俱乐部的球员。^[9]红雀再度进军世界大赛，但他的打击率只有2成14，最后洋基复仇成功，拿下世界大赛冠军。^[10]

1929年，巴顿里敲出29轰与137分打点。^[11]1930年世界大赛，巴顿里的打击率是惨不忍睹的0成45，最终红雀输给运动家。^[12]而巴顿里也表示这是他生涯打过最糟的世界大赛。^[13]^[14]^[15]

因为巴顿里在世界大赛的糟糕表现，让许多人开始怀疑他在下个赛季能否找回过往身手。^[16]后来红雀队的一垒手瑞伯·柯林斯下放到小联盟，巴顿里也顶替上一垒手的位置。^[17]然而他在球季初就受伤缺阵好几场比赛，让柯林斯又回到红雀担任一垒手。^[18]最后巴顿里整季打击为3成482，仅次于比尔·泰瑞的3成486和齐克·哈菲的3成489，是大联盟史上球员打击率前三名最接近的一次。^[2]1931年世界大赛，巴顿里的打击率只有1成60，不过红雀复仇成功，拿下6年内的第二座冠军。^[19]1932年，他仅出赛91场比赛，打击率为2成96。^[2]

辛辛那提红人[编辑]

1932年球季结束后，红雀将巴顿里交易到红人，换来Ownie Carroll和Estel Crabtree。^[20]^[21]不过之后他和红人因为薪资谈不拢，一度被强迫退休。^[22]后来他和球队签下1年合约，签约金落在1万至1万3000美元之间。^[23]1933年，他敲出13轰与83分打点。^[24]之后他又在球队待了2年，单季打击率都不到2成83，打点数也不到83分。1935年春训，他因为再度和球队陷入薪资争议而离队，^[25]不过他在4月份又重返红人。^[26]

圣路易布朗[编辑]

1936年球季开打前，红人将巴顿里交易到布朗，换来Johnny Burnett。^[27]他在7月份一度因为背伤宣布退休，^[28]^[29]但之后他又收回退休的决定。^[30]整季他的打击率为2成98。

1937年，^[31]布朗在拿下25胜52败后，将总教练罗杰·霍斯比解雇，改由巴顿里担任新总教练。^[2]^[32]虽然巴顿里的打击率为2成39，但布朗最终仅拿下46胜108败。而此时巴顿里已是美联前10老的球员。^[33]

球季结束后，布朗不与巴顿里续约。^[34]^[35]1938年，他在小联盟担任球员兼总教练。不过由于小联盟球队战绩不佳，因此巴顿里选择在季中辞职，^[36]并正式结束棒球生涯。^[37]
