贝莉出生在伦敦Bexley，父母分别是罗尼（Ronnie，1950–2008）[3]和贾姬·贝莉（Jackie Bailey）。[4]她有两个兄弟，查理（Charlie）和丹尼（Danny）。[3]罗尼在2008年因口腔癌而逝世。[3]

1996年，18岁的贝莉和好友茱莉·纳尼（Julie Nunney）组成双人团体Girls Next Door，灌录斯卡风格的〈Too Late〉，由Right Said Fred的贝斯手克莱德·华德（Clyde Ward）制作。
