梅塞爾隼科（學名：Masillaraptoridae）是隼形目下生活於始新世歐洲的一個科，目前僅包含來自德國梅塞爾坑的梅塞爾隼屬和來自英國倫敦粘土組的丹尼爾隼屬兩個已滅絕的屬。[1][2][3]
描述[編輯]
梅塞爾隼科的鳥類都有着相當長的腿，說明這些鳥類可能有着接近現代卡拉鷹的陸棲生活方式。 它們也有着巨大的尾綜骨，暗示這些鳥類可能有較長的尾羽，加上它們較長的尺骨，表明它們具有發達的飛行能力。梅塞爾隼科的鳥類有着與恐鶴和卡拉鷹相似的喙。[3]
