珠蛋白（globin）屬球狀蛋白質的一員，為含有血紅素（heme）的球狀蛋白超家族，涉及結合和/或運輸氧氣。珠蛋白都包含「珠蛋白摺疊」（globin fold），此摺疊為一串8個α螺旋的鏈段。

珠蛋白有兩個重要的成員：肌紅蛋白和血紅蛋白，這兩種蛋白質都藉由血紅素輔基可逆地與氧結合，且此兩者廣泛分布於許多生物體內^[2]。
