2022年12月北美冬季風暴是指2022年12月21日至26日席捲美國和加拿大部分地區的冬季風暴[4]。美國和加拿大部分地區出現了包括暴風雪、強風、降雪在內的惡劣天氣以及創紀錄的低溫。12月23日和24日，明尼蘇達州、愛荷華州、威斯康星州、密歇根州、俄亥俄州、紐約州和安大略省的部分地區，紐約州的布法羅地區和安大略省的伊利堡和金斯頓地區等地出現了近乎零能見度的雪暴。此外美國所有州均受到寒潮影響。12月24日當天，美國36個州的1.1億人收到了風寒警報。風暴和相關的寒潮造成至少106人死亡，其中布法羅地區的惡劣天氣就造成了41人死亡。布法羅當時實施為期五天半的汽車駕駛禁令，布法羅尼亞加拉國際機場關閉5天。受風暴影響，12月22日至28日期間，美國有超過18,200趟航班被取消，加拿大也有數百趟航班被取消。加拿大境內的維亞鐵路出現脫軌事故並停運2天。美國約有630萬戶家庭和加拿大的110萬戶家庭受風暴影響停電。 [5]
