製備

它可由弱酸性的氯化鈰亞硒酸鈉在溶液中反應得到。[5]三氧化二鈰二氧化硒在水中於100 °C反應,也能得到亞硒酸鈰(III),當二氧化硒過量時,會得到酸式鹽CeH(SeO3)2[3][2]硝酸鈰(III)二氧化硒在230 °C的水熱反應只會得到亞硒酸鈰(IV)。[6]
