甲烷絲菌屬（學名：Methanothrix），也稱甲烷發菌屬，為甲烷八疊球菌目甲烷鬃菌科的一屬革蘭氏陰性菌。分離於厭氧消化器。此屬的模式種為宋氏甲烷絲菌(Methanothrix soehngenii)。

本屬包括以下物種：
- 宋氏甲烷絲菌 Methanothrix soehngenii Huser et al. 1983[1]，也稱索氏甲烷絲菌。也拼作Methanothrix concilii
- 嗜熱乙酸甲烷絲菌 Methanothrix thermoacetophila corrig. Nozhevnikova and Chudina 1988[2]，也拼作Methanothrix thermophila
- Methanothrix thermoacetophilia Nozhevnikova and Chudina 1988
