琉璃紫螺（學名：Janthina globosa）^[3]，又名 長海蝸牛（學名：Janthina prolongata）^[1]，曾屬紫螺科Violetta^[3]^[1]，但現時所有原被分類為紫螺屬亞屬的物種都被合併回紫螺屬^[2]。

型態描述[編輯]

體長不超過40毫米^[2]^[4]，最大的紀錄是38.5毫米^[5]。螺殼薄，色淺紫藍^[2]^[4]，近球狀^[3]。

棲息地[編輯]

本物種的棲所都不超過水深13米的海域^[5]。

分佈[編輯]

本物種為全浮游（英語：Holoplankton）貝類，廣泛分佈於全世界暖海域^[3]^[2]^[4]，包括台灣^[3]^[1]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]、中國大陸^[3]^[10]、馬來西亞^[3]^[11]、阿拉伯半島東部^[1]^[12]。
