《鐵血聯盟2：野火》（英語：Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire）是戰略角色扮演遊戲《鐵血聯盟2》的獨立擴展版。遊戲於2004年3月4日由加拿大發行商Strategy First發行上市，Zuxxez於2005年4月在德國發行該遊戲。
劇情和遊戲玩法
[編輯]《野火》是《鐵血聯盟2》的修改版，因此遊戲的基本玩法和劇情都沒有改變。Arulco前統治者Enrico Chivaldori委託玩家率領僱傭軍將這個島國從殘暴的前妻Deidranna Reitman手中解放出來。
遊戲的新特點在於對現有遊戲內容的大量修改。從傭兵的選擇開始，角色創建問卷和傭兵列表部分都進行了修改和替換。在野火v6.0中，最大小隊規模從六名僱傭兵增加到十名，熒幕解像度從640×480像素增加到1024×768像素。為了更真實，增加了20種新武器並調整了現有武器的平衡，還添加了新的音效。[2]
各個領區也進行了修改，物體和物品被移動，並添加了新的環境細節，包括掩護選項。AI敵人的數量顯著增加，戰鬥行為也進行了大量修改，與原版遊戲相比，難度顯著增加。電腦AI越來越多地尋找掩護並設下伏擊。
發展
[編輯]野火源自Serge Popov的模改專案。Popov試圖通過他的模組傳達更真實的感覺，這就是為什麼他對武器、景觀、結構和AI的行為進行了許多改變。[3]為了商業營銷，Popov創立了他的開發公司i-Deal Games。
當時的鐵血聯盟許可證權利持有者Strategy First於2004年3月發佈了該模組的5.0版，作為北美市場上的官方獨立擴展包。主遊戲的原始碼也包含在這個版本中。[4]由於i-Deal Games表示現已破產的Strategy First從未支付過費用，開發商再次終止了合作。[5]《野火》由Zuxxez在德國和歐洲市場發行，該公司是歐洲《鐵血聯盟2》發行商Topware Interactive的後繼公司。新版本已經對之前的5.0版本進行了修改，不再包含遊戲的原始碼。
在中國市場，由北京東方娛動科技有限公司與多個民間漢化組合作完成了遊戲的中文化，並於2005年4月20日發售，對應英文5.0版本。[6][1]

對《野火》的評價褒貶不一。
我不能理解為什麼《鐵血聯盟2：野火》會發佈：畢竟主程式已有六年歷史了！新武器、新傭兵、修訂後的領區和更佳的平衡性，這些都很好，但不足以合理的成為全價遊戲[12]。遊戲玩法仍然充滿複雜性和令人難以置信的大量的選項。提高解像度並沒有多大幫助。然而，更糟糕的是，《鐵血聯盟2：野火》存在相當多的錯誤，因此一點也不穩定。[13]
如果你從未玩過JA2，儘管其解像度為640 x 480，但它仍然值得一玩，因為它融合了戰略和角色扮演遊戲、豐富的幽默和不斷變化的挑戰。但如果你很熟悉這個標題，我們建議你跳過《野火》。這種認真但缺乏想像力的模改使遊戲變得更加困難，但並沒有變得更有趣。[14]

Warum Jagged Alliance 2 Wildfire überhaupt herausgekommen ist, bleibt mir ein Rätsel: schließlich ist das Hauptprogramm schon sechs Jahre alt! Neue Waffen, Söldner, überarbeitete Sektoren und eine bessere Balance sind schön und gut, rechtfertigen aber keinen Vollpreis-Titel. Das Gameplay strotzt zwar immer noch vor Komplexität und unglaublich vielen Handlungsmöglichkeiten, aber der Zahn der Zeit nagt gewaltig. Da hilft auch die Erhöhung der Auflösung nicht viel weiter. Viel schlimmer ist allerdings, dass Jagged Alliance 2 Wildfire an ziemlich vielen Bugs leidet und somit alles andere als stabil läuft.

If you've never played JA2, it's still worth getting, despite its 640 x 480 resolution, for its intriguing combination of strategy and RPG, rich humor and ever-changing challenges. But if you know the title well, we recommend taking a pass on Wildfire. This earnest but unimaginative release makes the game much tougher, but no more interesting.
