坎宁河 (西澳)
坎宁河（英语：Canning River）是天鹅河的一个主支流。坎宁河位于西澳大利亚州西南区。[1]
水源和河道[编辑]
坎宁河的源头为达令陡坡。坎宁河流经珀斯众多郊区区域，其中包括天鹅海岸平原、坎宁顿、索恩耐尔、里弗顿、雪莱、罗斯莫恩和愉悦山，最终于坎宁桥附近流进天鹅河。[2][3][4]
历史[编辑]
首批到达这里的欧洲人为于1801年[5]到达这里的法国探险团队。该队探险队随即将这里命名为莫罗河口（Entrée Moreau）[5]。莫罗河口是以查尔斯·莫罗命名，而莫罗是探险队的其中一员。[6]
坎宁河于1827年被更名为现在的名字。当时，詹姆士·史特灵登上了HMS成功号帆船到坎宁河一带考察，并将河流以当时的英国首相乔治·坎宁命名。[5]
于1829年11月，正正在天鹅河殖民地建立后五个月， 史特灵便带着一班拓荒者到坎宁河旁建立了一个新的小镇，凯尔姆斯科特。[7][8]
环境[编辑]
坎宁河护栏是由流放到澳洲的罪犯建造。这个护栏用作保护运输木材的船只。[8][9][10][11][12]在现代，坎宁河护栏已成为一个地标。
坎宁河是不少野生动物的家园，其中包括海豚、鹈鹕、天鹅和很多不同种类的鸟类。
藻华[编辑]
藻华会于坎宁河自然地生成，全因堆积在河中的大量营养。而包括农业，家庭园艺和公园绿地等的人类活动则令到藻华的出现更频密，以及数量更多。藻华对哺乳动物和海洋生物均有害。天鹅河委托机构负责监察坎宁河的水质，并定时清理河流，减少藻华的出现次数及数量。[13][14]该机构是因坎宁河上出现满江红而设立的。[15]
