NGC 6584是一个球状星团，位于望远镜座中的天坛座θ附近，距离地球为45,000光年[2]。它是一个奥斯特霍夫I型星团，包含至少69颗变星，其中大部分是天琴座RR型变星：46颗星被确定为RRab型变星； 15颗RRc型变星、1颗RRe型变星、4颗食双星和3颗长周期变星[4]。
NGC 6584距银河中心约4,000秒差距，距银河平面约2,500秒差距[5]。
