姬再良博士 1989-1993年，加拿大维多利亚大学，滨海研究所，研究合伙人（Research Associate）；1993年至2005年,义务协助维多利亚大学地球海洋学院院长PROF.CHRISTOPHER BARNES做研究项目；现任《地球科学期刊》编委（Dr. Zailiang Ji, Retired Research Associate, Institute for Coastal and Oceans Research, University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C. Canada；Editorial Board Member, Scientific Journal of Earth Science）。
1972年以来，一直从事地质学、地层古生物学和微体古生物学的研究，涉及古环境地质、古地理变迁、地壳变迁、地震地质、古生态、古海洋环境等学科。
河北地质大学（早前河北地质学院，石家庄经济学院）地质系毕业，留校。任教期间，先后分别在中国地质科学院,北京大学地球与空间科学学院，和中国科学院南京古生物所与南京大学地球科学与工程学院进修半年。曾任河北地质学院地质系三届，四班级地球史 & 古生物学教师。1976-1977年，连续两年被河北地质学院评为优秀青年教师。
1978年至1981年，中国地质科学院研究生院就读硕士学位；1981年至1985年为中国地质科学院助理研究员；1984-1985年曾 为在职博士研究生。在此期间，先后主译编地质出版社，1987年出版《地质年代表》。书中第一章续伦，第二章年代地层表（实为地质年代表的精髓章节，主要部分），第五章线性地质年代表；另一本为主编译《地质世界》，科学普及出版社，1987年出版。此期间，先后还在地学期刊上发表二十余篇专业论文，并在光明日报、中国地质报、化石期刊刊登了十来篇科普文章。
1986年至1989年，获得加拿大纪念大学博士生的三年奖学金资助（博士论文指导导师是克里斯托弗•巴恩斯教授 ，PROF.CHRISTOPHER BARNES，1996年加拿大勋章得主）， 三年完成博士学业。
1994年，加拿大石油地质学会和加拿大地质协会十一号专集，出版发行了博士论文《西纽芬兰端口半岛早奥陶世圣乔治群牙形石，Lower Ordovician Conodonts from the St. George Group of Port au Port Peninsula, Western Newfoundland 》。
