红尾鸲属（学名：Phoenicurus）是雀形目鹟科下的一个属。[2]本属物种分布于旧大陆地区，目前下属14个物种。[2]
命名历史[编辑]
本属由英国鸟类学家托马斯·伊格内修斯·玛丽亚·福斯特于1817年建立。[3]其模式种根据当时单型及重名的缘故指定为欧亚红尾鸲。[1]其属名Phoenicurus来自林奈赋予欧亚红尾鸲的种小名phoenicurus，该词源自古希腊语的Φοῖνιξ（罗马化：phoinix、意为“绯红色或紫色的”）及οὖρος（罗马化：-ouros、意为“尾巴”）组成。[4]
