非洲鹦鹉亞科（学名：Psittacinae）是鹦鹉目金刚鹦鹉科下的两个亚科之一。[1][2]由法国生物学家康斯坦丁·萨米埃尔·拉菲内克-施马尔茨于1815年建立。[3]
虽然这个亚科下的物种皆分布于非洲，即旧大陆的一部分，但与在南美洲的金刚鹦鹉亚科相比，在非洲和马达加斯加的鹦鹉是多系的。[1][2][4]例如在非洲的牡丹鹦鹉属的鸟类与分布于澳大拉西亚和印尼、马来西亚一带的短尾鹦鹉属为姐妹群的关系，并被归类至鹦鹉科下。[4]鹦鹉亞科则被证明与金刚鹦鹉亚科形成姊妹群的关系。[2][4]
该亚科下属现存两个属，分别是非洲灰鹦鹉属以及Poicephalus属。[2][4]并还有两个中新世时期的化石属：Bavaripsitta及Xenopsitta。[5][6]
