层间核（英语：intralaminar thalamic nuclei ，缩写ITN） 是丘脑内髓层中神经元的集合，一般分为两个部分：[1]
丘脑层间核的退化可能与进行性上眼神经核麻痹症及帕金森氏症有关。[2]此外，丘脑旁正中动脉梗塞可能导致多种特征，如定向障碍、精神错乱、嗜睡、深度昏迷或运动不能性缄默症。[3] 层间核在脑外伤中也受到显著影响， 一项针对闭合性头部损伤患者的尸检研究表明，这些神经核的参与与不同程度的残疾有相关性。[4][5]
