鬼鸮属（学名：Aegolius）是鸮形目鸱鸮科下的一个属。[2]
命名与分类学
[编辑]该属由德国自然学家约翰·雅各布·考普于1829年建立，并指定其模式种为Strix tengmalmi。[3]该名称现为鬼鸮之异名。[4]其属名Aegolius来自拉丁语的同名词，指鸣角鸮，该词来自希腊语中一种报凶兆的鸟类。[5]

在分类学上，本属隶属于鸱鸮科下，与领鸺鹠属及小鸮属等属形成的分支为姊妹群。[2]有学者提议将其归入Surniinae亚科的单型族Aegolini族内。[7]在属内的关系中，无斑棕榈鬼鸮被部分著作认为与棕榈鬼鸮形成超种而不算是一个物种。[8][9]而百慕大棕榈鬼鸮似乎自公元1600年后就已绝灭。[10]
