About basseri

Hello.

With regard to article basseri, You said "I guessed that the name of your article is not proper for our tribe so I created another article with a better name and copied what you wrote in the new one" in User_talk:Grace19961102.

As I replied in User_talk:Grace19961102 first I guessed 巴瑟丽 is a good and proper name for the article than 维基百科:台湾教育专案/政大世界民族志学习作业/Basseri (although the second is not a real article as Reke says) and I copied what was in the second and created the first one.

Actually I didn't know this was an Education Program.

I guess nothing is left here;巴瑟丽 with a good and proper name is a wikipedia article and 维基百科:台湾教育专案/政大世界民族志学习作业/Basseri is an Education Program done and also translated by Grace19961102.right?

Another thing is that does really the word 巴瑟丽 pronounced Basseri in Chinese?

I understand your meaning. The 巴瑟丽 is a good and proper name for the article than 维基百科:台湾教育专案/政大世界民族志学习作业/Basseri.

巴瑟丽 really pronounced Basseri in Chinese. However, "丽" often used in female's name, maybe 巴瑟利人 is a good article name for Basseri. "人" in the end means that the article is a tribe, like 伊朗人 (Iranian peoples)

维基百科:台湾教育专案/政大世界民族志学习作业/Basseri just a sandbox page, I can't say the article name of this page is good or bad, because the name won't be keep when the article move to main namesapce some day. We really don't want to name the article "Basseri", but we need time to read some reference, and make sure what is people used to call Basseri people in Chinese, 巴瑟利, 巴色力, 巴塞里, or 巴萨立. (All of them have a similar pronunciation.) I don't think that's a good idea if we give Basseri a Chinese name without any reference.

Next time, please pay attention to the url of a page. If it has a prefix " Wikipedia: ", it is a page for some program or project. ( For your reference : en:Wikipedia:Namespace, en:Wikipedia:Project namespace).--Reke（留言） 2016年4月13日 (三) 23:36 (UTC)

Hi there, I want to add further reference about the Chinese Translation for Basseri people. Now I have not found any formal and definite translation term in academic papers in Traditional Chinese. But in Simplified Chinese there is a reference that shows "巴塞里" but most of the reliable sources remain using Basseri instead of Chinese translation.
