黑眼豆[2]是豇豆的一個亞種，可以食用。黑眼豆在世界各地都有種植。加利福尼亞黑眼是常見的商業化黑眼豆品種，此商業化品種分佈於美國南部[3][4]。
歷史[編輯]
黑眼豆起源於西非，而且自史前時代就在中國和印度種植。[5]自17世紀以來，被販賣至[6]弗吉尼亞的黑人奴隸在當地種植黑眼豆[7][8][9]。喬治·華盛頓·卡弗也在美國推廣種植黑眼豆，因為這種植物可以為土壤增加氮素。[10][11]
