拉丁學校

拉丁學校是14世紀至19世紀流行於歐洲的一種語法學校，其教學重點在學習拉丁文的語法及其運用（這是三藝和博雅教育的基礎）。它並非僅招收貴族子弟，很多中產階級家庭也會把拉丁學校作為晉升之階，這在他們尋求教會的工作時尤其重要^[1]。後來由於本國語言地位的提升，拉丁學校漸漸消失。^[2]

拉丁學校的教材主要是古典和部分中世紀作者的作品（大多為寓言和詩歌）。學生們要學會「Ars Dictaminis」的原則，即如何寫作正式的信件^[3]。
