巨蟹座DX是一顆位於巨蟹座的紅矮星，質量約為太陽的9％[7]。它是一顆耀星，通過恆星表面色球層上大規模的耀斑爆發改變光度。
雖然巨蟹座DX離太陽只有11.8光年，是離太陽系第十八近的恆星系統，但是它的視星等只有14.81等，遠低於肉眼可見的最低極限。巨蟹座DX是巨蟹座中離地球最近的恆星。
