阿拉斯代爾·查默斯·麥金泰爾（Alasdair Chalmers MacIntyre，1929年1月12日—）出生於蘇格蘭格拉斯哥，哲學家，在道德哲學、政治哲學、哲學史和神學等領域都作出了傑出的貢獻。他目前是聖母大學研究哲學的奧布賴恩高級教授（O'Brien Senior Research Professor）。
生平[編輯]
麥金泰爾曾在倫敦瑪麗王后大學接受教育，後來在曼徹斯特大學和牛津大學取得了文學碩士學位。1951年他來到曼徹斯特大學任教，也由此開始了他的學術生涯。1969年來到美國之前，他曾先後在英國的利茲大學、埃塞克斯大學、牛津大學教書。在美國，他也四處漂泊，在許多大學都留下了他的足跡。以下是他曾擔任的職位：

從2000年到現在，他一直是美國印第安納州聖母大學哲學系的奧布賴恩高級教授（Rev. John A. O'Brien Senior Research Professor）以及倫理學和文化中心的終身高級研究學者。同時他也是杜克大學名譽教授。2005年4月他被選為美國哲學會成員。
麥金泰爾一生共結過三次婚。1953年到1963年他與安·皮爾瑞（Ann Peri）結婚並育有兩個女兒。1963年到1977年他與蘇珊·威蘭斯（Susan Willans）結婚、育有一子一女。從1977年，他與同為聖母大學哲學教員的林恩·喬伊（Lynn Joy）成婚。
道德哲學思想[編輯]
麥金泰爾在道德哲學和倫理學領域有突出的貢獻。他認為，當代西方社會的道德危機，來源於一種嚴重的道德無序狀態。道德的立場與原則，變成了純主觀的選擇和情感的表達。在他的代表作《德性之後》中，他追溯歷史，認為這種狀況來源於對亞里士多德哲學中的目的論和德性論的拋棄。他指出，當代約翰·羅爾斯與羅伯特·諾齊克之間的道德爭論，就是由於缺少了亞里士多德式的德性，喪失了一種「應得賞罰（deserve）」的觀念，他認為應該回歸到傳統意義的德性論上。
