克里希纳在淡米尔纳德邦古努尔的斯塔内斯盎格鲁印度高级中学（英语：Stanes Schools）和德拉敦的圣约瑟夫学院（英语：St Joseph's Academy, Dehradun）完成学业[11]，之后于1985年在坎普尔印度理工学院（英语：IIT Kanpur）获得电机工程学的科技学士（英语：Bachelor of Technology）学位[8]。随后他移居美国，于1991年在伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校获得电子工程博士学位[12][13][14][15]。他是坎普尔印度理工学院和伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校杰出校友奖的获得者。

职业生涯[编辑]

克里希纳于1990年加入IBM的托马斯·J·沃森研究中心（英语：Thomas J. Watson Research Center）[5]，并在沃森研究中心工作了18年。2009年，他在IBM的资讯管理软件和系统及技术集团担任总经理职务。2015年，他被提升为IBM研究院的高级副总裁[16]。后来，他成为IBM云计算和认知软件部门的高级副总裁[8]。

克里希纳领导IBM在人工智能、云计算、量子计算和区块链技术方面新市场的建设和拓展[17][18]。他是IBM以340亿美元收购红帽公司的推动者，该收购于2019年7月完成[19][7]。
