大衛·古特森（英語：David Guterson，1956年5月4日—）是美國小說家、詩人、記者和散文家，以長篇小說《愛在冰雪紛飛時》而知名。
早年生活[編輯]
大衛·古特森於1956年5月4日出生在華盛頓州西雅圖，父親為刑事辯護律師穆雷·古特森（Murray Guterson）[2]。小時候，他就讀於西雅圖公立學校，之後在羅斯福高中讀書。他後來進入華盛頓大學，並獲得英國文學學士學位和創意寫作碩士學位[3]。古特森也是古根海姆Fellow[4]。
生涯[編輯]
在從事職業寫作前，古特森在班布里治高中擔任了10年的教師[1]。他在當老師時開始在小雜誌和期刊上發表文章和論文，後來向《時尚先生》、《運動畫刊》和《哈潑斯雜誌》投稿[2]。他的第一本書短篇小說集《The Country Ahead of Us, the Country Behind》於1989年出版，背景主要設定於太平洋西北地區[5]。第二本書《Family Matters: Why Homeschooling Makes Sense》於1992年出版，是一本關於家庭和教育的隨筆[1]。他的第三本書，也是迄今為止最受歡迎的小說《愛在冰雪紛飛時》於1994年出版[6]。
古特森的自由新聞文章包括環境問題、旅行寫作和人性化故事[7]。

《愛在冰雪紛飛時》（1994）是古特森的成名作[5]，他也因此榮獲1995年筆會/福克納小說獎[8]。截至1999年，小說已售出近四百萬冊[9]，並改編為1999年同名電影。電影由斯科特·希克斯執導，伊森·霍克、詹姆斯·克倫威爾、山姆·謝潑德和麥斯·馮·西度主演[10]，並獲得2000年奧斯卡金像獎的最佳攝影獎提名[11]。
古特森之後創作的小說有《East of the Mountains》（1999）[12]、《Our Lady of the Forest》（2003）[13]、《The Other》（2008）[14]和《Ed King》（2011）[15]。

古特森在23歲時與羅賓·古特森（Robin Guterson）結婚，兩人育有五個孩子[3]。目前，他住在普吉特海灣的班布里治島[16][17]。他還是作家組織Field's End的聯合創始人[18]。
