核仁轉錄因子1(Nucleolar transcription factor 1)又叫上游結合轉錄因子(Upstream binding transcription factor,縮寫UBTF)或上游結合因子1(Upstream binding factor 1,縮寫UBF1)是一種由人類基因UBTF 所編碼的蛋白質[1][2]

功能

UBTF是18S5.8S28S的核糖體RNA的轉錄所必須的轉錄因子,和SL1因子(一個四聚體,包括一個TATA結合蛋白和3個轉錄輔助因子TAF1英語TAF1)共同起作用。在人體中存在94和97kD的兩種UBF多肽鏈。UBF是一種核仁磷酸化蛋白(nucleolar phosphoprotein),同時具有DNA結合結構域和反式激活結構域,通過HMG盒結合到人rRNA啟動子的核心與上游部位。[2]

UBTF已知能與酪蛋白激酶2α亞基英語Casein kinase 2, alpha 1[3]TAF1C[4][5]視網膜母細胞瘤蛋白[6]TAF1[7]進行交互作用
