微笑乐团（英语：The Smile）是一支英国摇滚乐团，由电台司令成员汤姆·约克 （主唱、吉他、贝斯、键盘）和强尼·格林伍德 （吉他、贝斯、键盘）、爵士乐团Sun of Kemet成员汤姆·斯金纳（英语：Tom Skinner (drummer)）（鼓）三人组成，并由电台司令长期合作者尼杰尔·歌德里希担当专案制作人。作品风格融合后朋克、前卫摇滚、 Afrobeat和电子音乐。

乐团在2019状病毒病封锁期间一起共事，并在2021年5月格拉斯顿伯里音乐节上透过直播公开亮相。2022年初，他们发行了六首单曲，并在伦敦举行三场现场直播演唱会首次面对观众演出。5月，微笑乐团发行了他们的首张专辑《A Light for Attracting Attention》 ，获得好评。

乐团于2022年5月展开欧洲和北美巡演，并计划于2023年进行在北美地区加开巡演。

微笑乐团由电台司令的强尼·格林伍德、汤姆·约克携手乐手兼唱片制作人汤姆·斯金纳（英语：Tom Skinner (drummer)）组成[1]。斯金纳曾创办爵士乐团Sons of Kemet，并在团内担任鼓手，他第一次与与格林伍德合作是在2012年为电影《世纪教主》演奏配乐[2]。团员私下同意不对该项目相关内容接受采访。 [2]

乐团团名取自英国诗人泰德·休斯一首诗的标题[7]。约克表示这指的不是“‘啊’时的笑容，而是每天对你撒谎的那个人的笑容。”[8]

微笑乐团2022年12月在美国达拉斯The Factory in Deep Ellum

微笑乐团在格拉斯顿伯里音乐节制作并于2021年5月22日播出的音乐会影片《Live at Worthy Farm》中惊喜亮相。该场演出是在那周早些时候秘密录制的，并在直播当天宣布[7]。乐团共演奏八首歌曲，其中约克和格林伍德负责弹奏吉他、贝斯、穆格合成器和Rhodes电钢琴。[9]

约克于2021年10月在伦敦皇家阿尔伯特音乐厅举行的Letters Live活动中演唱一首新曲〈Free in the Knowledge〉[10]。2022年1月29日至30日，微笑乐团在伦敦音乐展演空间Magazine举行的三场现场直播演唱会中首次面对观众表演[11]。他们轮番上阵，演奏了〈Speech Bubbles〉、〈A Hairdryer〉、〈Waving a White Flag〉和〈The Same〉等多首歌曲[12]。其间还再度演唱了约克于2010年首唱的〈Open the Floodgates〉[11][13]以及翻唱1979年乔·杰克逊的单曲〈It's Different for Girls〉。[12]

A Light for Attracting Attention[编辑]

2022年4月20日，微笑乐团宣布其首张专辑名为《A Light for Attracting Attention》。专辑于5月13日经由XL唱片数位发行，6月17日实体发行[17]，并在英国专辑排行榜上取得第五位的成绩[18]。专辑广受赞誉[19]；音乐网刊《Pitchfork》评论家瑞安·多巴尔（Ryan Dombal）赞其“立即成为电台司令副专案中无所质疑的最佳专辑”[20]。首波单曲〈You Will Never Work in Television Again〉于2022年1月5日在各个串流媒体平台上发布[21]，紧接在后是〈The Smoke〉、 [22]〈Skrting on the Surface〉、[23]〈Pana-vision〉、 〈Free In The Knowledge〉、 [24]和〈Thin Thing〉。 [25]
