西方棕色刺鶯（中國大陸作西刺鶯，學名：Dasyornis longirostris），是雀形目棕刺鶯科的一種鳥類。[2]其種小名「longirostris」意為「長吻的」。
西方棕色刺鶯體重約32.7克，翼長約67.6毫米，嘴峰長約15.9毫米，喙寬度約3.2毫米，喙厚度約4.5毫米，跗蹠長約23.9毫米，尾長約88.6毫米。西方棕色刺鶯在其分布區內為留鳥，其棲息在半開放的灌木叢中，食性為雜食性，主要食物來源是陸生無脊椎動物。[3]
西方棕色刺鶯分布於西澳大利亞州西南部的沿海地區。該物種是單型物種，沒有亞種分化。[4]
保育狀況[編輯]
其被列為《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約》附錄二的物種，被限制出口及貿易。
