.app是網際網路之DNS上的一個通用頂級域（gTLD），在2015年二月的拍賣中由谷歌以2500萬美元獲得，並在2018年5月正式開放註冊。它的名稱源自英文單詞「application」的簡寫，經常用於IT行業。該域名將被用於開發者企業、業餘或職業開發者、企業應用、應用支援服務、以及其它相關的產品或工具[1]。
.app域名甫一被載入入根伺服器，便受到開發者和企業之關注，因其為一些應用程式的官方網站提供了域名選擇。[2][3]
據域名服務商Gandi表示，該頂級域名已經被載入進了HSTS預載入名錄，意味著所有的域名使用者在以該域名提供網頁瀏覽服務時必須開啟HTTPS。[4]

.APP is a security-focused space, meaning that HTTPS is required for all websites. The entire .APP namespace has been added to the HSTS Preload list. To work properly in browsers, You will need to obtain a SSL certificate and configure the HTTPS serving.
