太阳神-A和太阳神-B（即太阳神1号和太阳神2号）是用于研究太阳活动而发射进入日心轨道的两艘姊妹探测器。太阳神号是由西德和NASA联合研制的，分别于1974年12月10日和1976年1月15日在佛罗里达州卡纳维拉尔角的肯尼迪航天中心发射升空。

太阳神号由于创造了人类的最大速度记录：252,792 km/h^[1] (157,078 英里/小时或 43.63 英里/秒或 70.22 千米/秒或 0.000234c)而令世人瞩目。太阳神2号比太阳神1号飞抵太阳近300万千米，并于1976年4月17日抵达拱点，创造了0.29天文单位（或4343.2万千米）的距离记录^[2]，这刚好在水星的轨道之内。太阳神号在1980年代初完成了它们的主要任务，直到1985年它们还在朝地球传输数据。当前太阳神号探测器已经不再工作了，但仍停留在绕太阳运行的椭圆轨道中。
