帝国港街道赛道
帝国码头市街赛道（英语：Port Imperial Street Circuit）[2]是一条计划于美国纽泽西州威霍肯与西纽约的赛道，全长5.1千米（3.2英里）。
2011年10月宣布将举办国际汽车联盟 一级方程式锦标赛美洲大奖赛。这场赛事最初订于2013年赛历，[3]然而却因为财政困难、未能获得国际汽联的批准、主办单位缺乏准备，以及合约纠纷，导致一连串的延期与耽搁。[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]一级方程式总裁兼首席执行官伯尼·埃克莱斯顿曾表示“最早的可能”将在2016年举办这场于纽泽西的赛事。[11]
位置及设计[编辑]
经过多年在纽约都会区寻找合适的地点后，这条赛道才被决定坐落于哈德逊河和哈德逊峭壁旁，能够一览天际景观和海拔变化，另外这里也有方便的大众运输工具。[1]
这是一条顺时针方向的赛道，由德国赛道设计师赫尔曼·提尔克所设计。赛道的起跑线计画毗邻于纽约水上公路的渡轮码头旁，而维修站和车库则位于渡轮码头与帝国码头大道之间。赛道的第一段沿著整条哈得逊河海滨走廊，旨在使赛车能够跑过整个帝国港，之后在沿著潘兴路爬上哈德逊峭壁。接著来到东方大道，一直到北端的唐纳利纪念公园（Donnelly Memorial Park）后右转下坡至山边大道（Hillside Avenue），一直到尽头后便是一个邻近西纽约污水处理厂的发夹弯。赛道最后一路沿著帝国码头大道向南回到帝国码头。[1][12]从帝国港至哈德逊峭壁的海拔高度变化将近150英尺（46米），[13]使这条赛道成为赛历中海拔高度变化最大的赛道之一。[14]
尽管赛道会经过住宅区，但当地的居民并不会被驱赶；相关单位也打算造访七个受影响的住宅区。另外主办单位更计画不接受任何政府补助金来举办这场赛事。[1][15]
赛事推广[编辑]
赛巴斯蒂安·维泰尔在2012年6月于此进行推广的测试圈，他描述这是一条“特殊”的赛道，还说它将成为车手们喜爱的赛道。[16]在谈到赛道的高度变化和弯道时，他表示他想起了斯帕-弗朗科尔尚赛道和摩纳哥赛道。[17][18][19][20]根据维泰尔的描述，这条赛道将会由“快速、飘浮的弯道”组成，他预期赛道速度将会超过200英里每小时（320千米每小时），结论就是最勇敢的车手才有办法赢得这条赛道的胜利。[16]
大卫·库塔在2012年8月于此驾驶以测试赛道路面，同时也拍摄红牛车队的宣传影片，介绍这条赛道与周边环境。[21][22][23]
建设规划[编辑]
赛事主办人利奥·欣德利曾在2013年6月宣布比赛已经获得所有必要的当地许可，以及31个承办商已经进入筹备阶段。[24]这条赛道将完全以现有道路，因此除了维修站以外，不需要专门为了比赛去建造赛道的任何部分。[1][25]赛事承办人与市政府也在2013年6月签下了合约。[26]
先前计画位于纽约河滨走廊渡轮码头，用来作为车队司令部与装备区的车库建设在2012年7月动工，[27][28][29][30]共有24个维修车库。[31]并构想将建筑物一楼作为零售空间，会随著每年举行的比赛而改变。[28]最终在2013年夏季完工。而两间饭店也在2013年11月动工，建于帝国港停车场上方。[32]
2013年6月，连接码头与轻轨车站间期待已久的天桥正式启用，这被视为是大众进入这条赛道最重要的一个地点。[33][34]
在2013年8至11月间，完成了道路的重铺和其他工程。[35][36]为了创建一个平滑的路面，而分批完成重铺工程，也不会使沥青在倒入路面时冷却。另外像是消防栓与号志灯等的潜在的障碍物，还有待商榷是否要移除。[28]
曾用于目前废止的瓦伦西亚市街赛道中的路障，将有可能用于这条赛道。[37][38]
电动方程式[编辑]
根据2014年3月《富比士》的报导，电动方程式首席执行长亚历杭德罗·亚甲（Alejandro Agag）透露他一直与承办人协议将比赛带到纽约地区，不过他要在大奖赛的财政状况解决后，才能保证将电动方程式举办于纽约。[39][40]

The change of elevation is something we really enjoy. A street circuit is always special. It's always very technical. You have these bumps built in and even if you resurface the track, you still have these bumps but it's part of the track. It gives the circuit a bit of soul and it's good for us for orientation and even if it feels rough it belongs to the circuit.
