森蚺行動 是2002年三月初美軍、CIA戰鬥人員協同阿富汗軍方及其他一些國家力量發動的旨在摧毀塔利班部隊的作戰行動。戰鬥發生地點位於阿富汗帕克蒂亞省東南的夏西柯特山谷與阿爾瑪山區。[2]這場作戰是美國發動阿富汗戰爭之後，自2001年12月托拉波拉戰役之後發動的大規模用兵。也是在阿富汗戰區首次投入大規模的常規陸地戰力（先前只有特種部隊參與小規模作戰）進行直接戰鬥。
從3月2日到3月16日，1,700名美軍與1000名親阿富汗新政府的民兵以空運方式投入戰鬥區，朝估計有300-1000人藏匿的塔利班部隊交火，奪取山谷控制權。塔利班戰士倚靠山地山洞等地形死角持續以迫擊砲與重機槍抵抗，朝自山脊空降的美軍投注火力殺傷。塔利班指揮官塞法-拉赫曼-曼蘇爾之後率援軍到達戰場。美軍一開始估計山谷里的塔利班士兵為150-200人，之後發現有500-1000人。美軍最初估計打死了至少500名敵軍，但後續記者報導聲稱聯軍清理戰場只尋找到23具塔利班士兵遺骸。在作戰結束後數天，開始有媒體評論說此次行動「與其說是軍事上的必要，不如說是被中了邪的媒體驅使的」。[3]
