虎斑鹦鹉属（學名：Psittacella，台湾作虎紋鸚鵡屬）是鸚形目舊世界鸚鵡科下的一個屬。[2]該屬為虎斑鸚鵡亞科（Psittacellinae）下的唯一一個成員，一共有四個物種11個亞種。[2][3]該屬僅分佈於新幾內亞地區，棲息於森林內。[4]體長介於14—24公分之間，為中小等體型的鸚鵡。[5][6]

本屬由德國鳥類學家赫爾曼·施萊格爾藉由1870年時荷蘭探險隊前往採集得到的兩種標本建立，這兩種標本為布雷氏虎紋鸚鵡和橫斑小虎紋鸚鵡。[2][8]其屬名Psittacella源自拉丁語psittacus（意即「鸚鵡」）的一種指小詞變化型。[9]
在過去，本屬被分類在吸蜜鸚鵡亞科下，現其被歸入的虎紋鸚鵡亞科（學名：Psittacellinae）於2012年被提議建立。[1][3]該屬在一份2022年的研究中被認為是舊世界鸚鵡科下繼彼斯奎氏鸚鵡亞科、Coracopseinae（為馬島鸚鵡屬及馬斯卡林鸚鵡構成的亞科，2023年的研究認為與彼斯奎氏鸚鵡同分支）、亞澳鸚鵡亞科後演化出的亞科。[10][7]
形態特徵[编辑]
所有虎紋鸚鵡都是頭部棕色，身軀綠色，尾下覆羽紅色的型態，並在背部上半有條紋狀的紋路。[6][5]牠們的體型較為粗壯，並擁有圓滑的尾巴和翅膀。[4]這些鸚鵡平常生活於樹上，以嫩葉和未成熟水果的種子為食。[4][5]其生性較為安靜穩重，並不容易被發現。[4][5]
虎紋鸚鵡依其體型可做分類，一側是較為大型（體長19—24公分）的布雷氏虎紋鸚鵡和彩鹦鹉；另一側則為較小型（體長14—15公分）的橫斑小虎紋鸚鵡和馬達氏虎紋鸚鵡。[6]布雷氏虎紋鸚鵡和彩鹦鹉的差別主要在於前者所分佈的海拔較低；而在橫斑小虎紋鸚鵡和馬達氏虎紋鸚鵡間的主要差異一樣在於後者的分佈海拔較低，而四個物種之間的臉頰及喉部顏色也有所不同。[6]
保護情況[编辑]
該屬鸚鵡均受《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約》所保護，並被列於附錄二內。[11]在《國際自然保護聯盟瀕危物種紅色名錄》中，雖然四個物種皆未有實際估測其族群數量，但因缺乏有遭受威脅的證據而都被列為無危物種。[12][13][14][15]
