主要鹼性蛋白(英語:Major basic protein,MBP),全稱為嗜酸性粒細胞主要鹼性蛋白(英語:Eosinophil Major basic protein),也稱為蛋白多糖2(Proteoglycan 2,PRG2),是一種由人類基因PRG2編碼的蛋白質[5]

MBP在結構上類似於凝集素(糖結合蛋白),特別是與C-型凝集素在摺疊上相似。但與C-型凝集素不同(C-型凝集素在的存在下會結合各種碳水化合物),MBP既不與鈣結合也不與這些糖類結合,而是識別並結合硫酸乙酰肝素(heparan sulfate)。MBP的兩種晶體結構已被測定。[6][7]
