蒙古文Unicode區段是包含胡都木蒙古文[註 1]、托忒蒙古文、滿文、錫伯文字符的Unicode區段。[3]:528其書寫方向為
由上至下，並由左至右。在Unicode官方的字符表中該區段的字符被逆時針旋轉90度顯示[3]:529[4]。
胡都木蒙古文和滿文[註 2]使用的字符中包括一些用於翻譯佛教經文的阿禮嘎禮字母。[3]:528
Unicode標準中為該區段的字符定義了數十個變體序列，用以在無法通過算法自動判斷時指定具體應顯示的變體形式。[5]
區段內容[編輯]
本區段中發音不同但書寫形狀相同的字母被看作不同的字母，具有不同的碼位。例如胡都木蒙古文字母O編碼為U+1823，U編碼為U+1824，但表現出的形狀是一樣的。[3]:530

變體形式[編輯]
本區段的同一個字符可能有多個變體，Unicode使用自由變體選擇符（FVS，Free Variant Selector）來選擇不同變體。FVS有3個，分別是FVS1（U+180B）、FVS2（U+180C）、FVS3（U+180D）。在特定字符的後面加上FVS能夠改變字符的形態，這樣的字符+FVS的組合稱為標準變體（standardized variant）。[3]:532[6]:33,34全部的標準變體見下表。[7]
