20COOH，常溫常壓下為白色固體，不溶於水^[2]。它可以被四氫呋喃硼烷還原為1,22-二十二烷二醇。^[3]在酸催化下，它可以和甲醇或乙醇反應，得到相應的甲酯或乙酯。^[4]^[5]
