李察·史都華·林克雷特（英語：Richard Stuart Linklater，1960年7月30日—[2]）是一名美國獨立電影導演和編劇。知名作品包括 Slacker, Dazed and Confused, Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly, 《摇滚校园》和《愛在黎明破曉時》及其續集《愛在日落巴黎時》、《愛在午夜希臘時》。1995年、2014年分別以《愛在黎明破曉時》和《年少時代》兩度獲得柏林影展最佳導演獎。《年少時代》為其贏得第72屆金球獎最佳導演和第68届英国电影学院奖最佳导演。

生平

他生於德州休斯頓，入讀於萨姆休斯顿州立大学，沒畢業就在墨西哥灣從事離岸的鑽機工作。之後讀了很多小說，並對戲劇和電影製作產生興趣。後來用積蓄購買了一台超8毫米膠片攝影機、投影儀和剪輯設備，並移居奧斯丁。他深受羅伯特·布列松、小津安二郎、宁那·华纳·法斯宾德、約瑟夫·馮·史坦伯格（英语：Josef von Sternberg）和卡爾·西奧多·德萊葉的影響。1984年秋進入 奧斯丁社區學院（Austin Community College）學習電影[3]。

早在20多岁时，他就成为一名素食者[4]。

1985年他與李·丹尼爾（Lee Daniel）共同創建了奧斯汀電影協會，丹尼爾後來成為與林克萊特多次合作的攝影師。在導演了一些短片後，1988年執導了第一部電影長片《死读书是没用的（英语：It's Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books）》。

林克莱特的作品大多在德州的奥斯汀和休斯顿拍摄制作，与他经常合作的演员有伊森·霍克、傑克·布萊克、马修·麦康纳、茱莉·蝶兒和帕特里夏·阿奎特。珊卓·艾戴儿 （Sandra Adair）自1993年以来一直与林克莱特合作担任剪接师。
