鯊客（Grooveshark）是Escape媒體集團的子公司，總部設在美國，提供在線音樂流媒體服務。^[2]它還擁有搜索引擎和推薦歌曲的應用。用戶上傳音樂後可以立即播放或將其添加到播放列表中。截至2012年1月，主要的音樂公司一直以來都起訴鯊客侵犯版權，包括百代唱片，華納音樂集團，索尼音樂娛樂和環球唱片。^[3]因為受到一系列侵犯著作權的控告，預計其已負債17億美元。^[4]^[5]出於版權考慮，谷歌，蘋果和Facebook都各自在Google Play，App Store (iOS)和Facebook platform移除了鯊客的應用程序。^[6]^[7]^[8]
