The Unarchiver是一個專有的數據解壓工具，它支持的格式比macOS中內置的歸檔實用程序Archive Utility（以前稱為BOMArchiveHelper）更多。[4]它還可以處理用其他非英語版本的作業系統創建的外國字符集中的文件名。[5]最新版本需要macOS Lion或更高版本。The Unarchiver不會壓縮文件。[6]
相應的命令行實用程序unar和lsar也可在Microsoft Windows、Linux和macOS上運行。[7]
