索甲仁波切（藏語：བསོད་རྒྱལ་，威利转写：Bsod-rgyal，1947年—2019年8月28日[1]），出生於西康省甘孜縣，佛教人物，作家，屬於藏傳佛教寧瑪派佐欽傳承之上師。曾旅居西方，2017年開始接受結腸癌治療，2019年因肺栓塞在圓寂於泰國[2]。

其暢銷名著《西藏生死書》，此書被翻譯成30種文字、在56國發行，迴響頗大，內容為以六中有解釋佛教的輪迴觀。其創立遍布四十餘國之本覺會（英语：Rigpa organization），為西方宣傳藏傳佛教重要之組織。

師承

主要師承二世宗薩欽哲確吉羅卓（英语：Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö），在康區宗薩寺學習，被認證為被認為是十三世達賴的老師拖顿索甲（英语：Tertön Sogyal）伏藏師之轉世。1971年獲得資助以訪問學人的身分，前往劍橋大學三一學院學習宗教比較[3]。旅居西方時，親炙數位耆老，並為之翻譯法教：二世敦珠仁波切、頂果欽哲仁波切和紐修堪仁波切（英语：Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche）[4] 。於1973安排十四世達賴喇嘛拜訪羅馬天主教教宗保祿六世[5]。

爭議

索甲仁波切生前也傳出多起性侵事件，但從未被定罪[6]。1994年在旧金山遭女学员控告性侵，求償1000萬美元，最后庭外和解[7][8]。多起性侵事件使以往與他過從甚密的十四世達賴也出面批判，指他「蒙羞」[9]。
