Side marking on vans and trucks?[編輯]
What are the side marking on vans and trucks, usually on the bottom of the front doors? I have been told that it is for military requisition during emergency situations, but cannot find the reference. – Kaihsu（留言） 2016年12月11日 (日) 19:11 (UTC)
They are required by law for "cargo vehicles" and larger passenger vehicles like buses, which specifies the licence plate number, maximum gross weight and maximum passengers. It could be for military requisition, but I think it's more often used for easier determination of whether the vehicle is running overloaded. Vcharng（留言） 2018年6月25日 (一) 14:01 (UTC)
