DeepL翻譯（英語：DeepL Translator）是2017年8月由總部位於德國科隆的DeepL GmbH（一家由Linguee支持的創業公司）推出的免費神經機器翻譯服務[2][3][4]。評論家對於它的評價普遍正面，認為它的翻譯比起Google翻譯更為準確自然[5][6]。

DeepL目前支援保加利亞語、簡體中文、印尼語、烏克蘭語、捷克語、丹麥語、荷蘭語、英語（美式或英式）、愛沙尼亞語、芬蘭語、法語、德語、希臘語、匈牙利語、意大利語、日語、拉脫維亞語、立陶宛語、波蘭語、葡萄牙語、巴西葡萄牙語、羅馬尼亞語、俄語、斯洛伐克語、斯洛文尼亞語、西班牙語、瑞典語、挪威語、土耳其語之間的翻譯。總計31種語言，552種語言組合[4]。除此之外，DeepL在翻譯上述語言時採用了語言等效性原理，其會先在後台翻譯作英語，然後再翻譯成另一種語言。

DeepL並不會在官網上顯示任何廣告。開發公司希望藉由出售API授權來盈利[7]。

技術[編輯]

DeepL的演算法和原始碼為封閉專有[8]。該翻譯服務使用了搭建在Linguee數據庫[9]之上的卷積神經網絡[5]。儘管它的確建基於神經網絡，但技術細節並沒有公開[10]。開發者表示，他們使用的是一種經過大幅改良的新式神經網絡結構，使得DeepL的翻譯跟同類服務相比，顯得較為自然[10]。DeepL的翻譯是用一台浮點性能為5 Petaflops的超級電腦產生的。這台超級電腦位於冰島，並依賴水力發電機來供電[11]。一般來說，卷積神經網絡在翻譯長句子方面稍微佔優，不過它跟循環神經網路相比卻有着很大的缺點，故此DeepL的競爭對手大多不會使用前者。DeepL則選擇以其他手段彌補之[5][12][13]。

DeepL可在保留原本格式、註腳、插圖的情況下，翻譯.docx和.pptx以及.pdf格式的文件和簡報[14]。

自2018年12月5日起，DeepL翻譯正式支援葡萄牙語和俄語[6][15]。簡體中文和日語則於2020年3月19日開始支援[16][17][18]。

2018年7月，DeepL翻譯的非官方免費瀏覽器擴充功能正式推出，支援Google Chrome和Firefox瀏覽器[19][20]。

2019年9月，DeepL正式推出Windows和macOS的客戶端[21][22]。

其原理是基於索引機器人收集網站上已有的翻譯。

免費使用[編輯]

在免費使用的版本中，一次翻譯的文本長度不能超過5000個字符[22] 。商業客戶可以使用付費應用程序接口將DeepL嵌入到他們的軟件中，個人使用每月5.99歐元起[23]。此外，DeepL由其姊妹網站linguee.com的屏幕廣告提供資金[24]。

付費訂閱[編輯]

自2018年3月起， DeepL GmbH為專業翻譯人員、公司和開發人員提供的DeepL Pro付費訂閱服務，用戶在訂閱後可使用DeepL的編程接口和用於電腦輔助翻譯的軟件插件——這包括塔多思。與免費版不同的是，翻譯後的文本不會被保存；輸入欄中的文本長度不限於5000個字符。定價模式規定了基本月費，其中包括一定數量的文本。超出此範圍的文本按字符數計算[25]。此外，還提供保密功能，可對提交的文本進行翻譯，並在翻譯完成後立即刪除文本。除了文本輸入，還可以上傳Microsoft Word和PowerPoint文檔進行翻譯[18]。

該公司由Gereon Frahling和Leonard Fink於2008年在科隆成立，名稱為Linguee GmbH。他們建立了一本25種語言的詞典，可以通過在線服務進行翻譯。隨着DeepL 2017年的發布，公司名稱改為DeepL GmbH[30]。2020年3月，DeepL宣布通過修改AI系統，使得性能甩開競爭對手[31]。

對DeepL Translator的反應普遍是正面的，TechCrunch對其翻譯的準確性表示讚賞，稱其比Google翻譯更準確、更細緻[5]，《世界報》則感謝其開發者將法語文本翻譯成「聽起來更像法語」的表達方式[34]。荷蘭RTL Z電視頻道網站的一篇新聞文章稱，DeepL Translator「在荷蘭語到英語的過程中提供了更好的翻譯[......]，反之亦然」[35]。

其他新聞機構和新聞網站也對DeepL Translator表示了讚許，如意大利報紙《共和報（英語：la Repubblica）》[36]和拉美網站WWWWhat's new?[37]。

發布時，DeepL宣稱在盲測中超越了其他競爭對手，包括谷歌翻譯、亞馬遜翻譯、微軟翻譯和Facebook[38][39][40][41][42][43][44]，但尚未有獨立測評對這些服務進行比較[45]。具體來說，每個服務都提取了119段不同領域的文本並進行翻譯，然後由公司外部的專家翻譯對譯文進行評估[18]。此外，即便是要翻譯的日文混雜着方言，其結果依舊準確[46]。DeepL Translator獲得了2020年Webby最佳實踐獎，以及2020年Webby技術成就獎（App應用程式、行動和功能），均為App應用程式、行動和語音類[47]。
