《你是我最想要的聖誕禮物》於1994年由哥倫比亞唱片作為凱莉的第4張錄音室專輯《祝福》的首支單曲發行。歌曲由凱莉和瓦爾特·阿法納西夫（英語：Walter Afanasieff）共同創作。本歌曲是一首節奏的情歌，歌曲使用了鍾樂、和音與合成器等元素。歌曲的歌詞是關於述者「不關心其它聖誕禮物，因為自己的戀人是自己最想要的聖誕禮物」。

歌曲於1993年12月共拍攝了2部音樂錄像帶。最先發佈的音樂錄像帶以家庭小電影的形式展示了凱莉和家人、小狗在聖誕節的活動。瑪麗亞穿着聖誕裝在山腰上滑雪，她的前夫托米·莫妥拉亦客串音樂錄像帶，裝扮成聖誕老人送給凱莉禮物。第2部音樂錄像帶為黑白畫面，在音樂錄像帶中，凱莉與和音和男伴舞裝扮成60年代的造型致敬羅尼特組合。
