蓋洛普民意测验通过向民众询问“宗教在你的日常生活中重要吗?”[1]来评估世界各地的宗教信仰状况。皮尤研究中心和公共宗教研究所则对民众参加宗教活动状况进行了研究。[2]哈里斯民意测验则对信仰上帝者的百分比进行了调查。[3]
