眼镜猴属学名Tarsius)是灵长目眼镜猴科的一属,已知包含了约11个现存物种[1]

特征及分布

本属物种都是小型的树栖动物,仅分布于印尼苏拉威西及其周边岛屿[1]

分类

过去分类学者曾长期将所有现存的眼睛猴都被被归类于本属,直到2010年代,才将菲律宾眼镜猴英语Philippine tarsierCarlito syrichta)及西部眼镜猴英语Horsfield's tarsierCephalopachus bancanus)独立成另两个属[1]
