基龍科（學名：Edaphosauridae）是群大型、衍化的盤龍目，大部分的身長可達3公尺或是更長，生存於晚賓夕法尼亞紀到早二疊紀。
牠們和卡色龍科是目前所知最早的的一批植食性羊膜動物，與闊齒龍屬同為所知最早的植食性四足類動物。基龍科的化石到目前為止只在北美與歐洲發現。
特徵[編輯]
基龍科的頭與身體相比較小，背上具有高大的背帆，可能用來體溫調節。除了具有上下頜的牙齒之外，上齶翼骨也具有大量鈍齒，可幫助磨碎植物組織[2]。
